Prince Edward Island(PEI) invites 169 candidates
In the draw that took place on April 19, Canadian province of Prince Edward Island(PEI) issued 169 invitations. These include 75 invitations to Express Entry candidates. This is the third draw of the Prince Edward Island’s Expression of Interest system that was introduced in February 2018. The scores of those who have been invited are between 37 and 87.
The Express Entry candidates invited through the draw are either working in the province or have graduated from one of the higher education institutions in the province. The Express Entry candidates can submit their application for permanent residence within 90 days from the date of invitation. These candidates will receive 600 additional CRS points, increasing their chances to receive Invitation to Apply for Canada permanent residence from IRCC.
Other than Express Entry candidates, 77 candidates from the Labour Impact category and 17 candidates from the Business Impact Category also received invitations in this draw. Labour Impact Category is for individuals with the skills and experience needed for PEI’s labour market. The category has three streams: Skilled Workers, Critical Workers and International Graduates. The Business Impact Category also has three streams: 100% ownership, partial ownership and work permit.
